If a customer operates a call shop, then they will have access to DUAL Softswitch's online Call Shop Billing System. One of the optional features of this system is the ability to define individual booths for an account. This feature is called Advanced Billing and, if used, allows booths to be opened and closed and enables pre-pay operations for the shop.
The booths can also be defined in the Administration System by clicking on the Call shop booths link in the Quick Links area of an account page:
Adding a booth
This page has a form that requires two entries. Once the entries have been made, clicking the continue button will add the new booth to the billing system.
Line ID |
A booth is identified by the system through a unique Line ID, also known as a User ID or an alias. Enter the Line ID for the new booth. This is the number or name before the "@" symbol account's call history. This entry must be unique for the account. |
Booth name |
This is the descriptive name for the booth and appears on the list of booths on the left hand sidebar. For example: "Booth 1". |
As soon as the first booth is successfully defined, Advanced Billing comes into force.
Removing a booth
If Advanced Billing is in use (ie. at least one booth has been defined), the list of defined booths will be displayed near the top of this page. Click on a booth name and confirm your action to remove the booth from the list.
If all booths have been removed, then Advanced Billing is no longer in force.
