Call shop configuration

Various aspects of the call shop billing system can be configured by clicking on the Configuration link on each page.  The following settings are offered:

 

Display charges

Ticking this box causes call charges to be displayed on the booth pages.

Currency

The currency used for calculating and displaying callers' charges.

Decimal places

The decimal places (0, 1, 2 or 3) to which total call costs will be rounded.

Rating factor

The factor that should be applied to call costs after they have been rated.  This is the margin that is added to the rates that the call shop pays for termination and should also take your chosen currency into account.  This setting can be overridden by setting special rates.

Rating steps

The rating steps (eg. 30/6) that should be used in the calculation of call charges.

Setup charge

The optional setup fee that will be charged to all callers as soon as a call connects.

Discount 1

Optionally, the first stage of a two tiered discount scheme.  The threshold time at which this discount is applied and the percentage discount should be entered.

Discount 2

Optionally, the second stage of a two tiered discount scheme.  The threshold time at which this discount is applied and the percentage discount should be entered.

Time zone

The time zone in which the call shop operates in relation to the time zone used for DUAL Softswitch.

 

These settings come into effect when the Continue button is clicked.

 

The final section of this page shows the Operator password.  This can be used by an operator to log on to the billing system and not be given access to the configuration and commercial aspects of the system.
