If you have a new customer, then you will need to create an account for them on DUAL Softswitch.  The Create an account link in the Accounts box on the sidebar of the DUAL Softswitch Administration system takes you to a page that requires some basic information for the new account:

Name

Enter the name of the account holder.

Country

Select the account holder's country from the drop down list.  These country names can be changed by contacting support@dualsoftswitch.com with your requirements.

Email address

Enter the account holder's email address.  This email address will be used to send rate change notifications; low balance warnings and, optionally, a welcome email.

Tariff

Select a tariff from the drop down list.  This tariff will define the per-minute rates that the customer will be charged for calling each destination country.

Steps

These are the rating steps used to calculate call costs on this account.  The first number refers to the minimum charged duration, and the second number refers to the incremental charging steps after the minimum duration has been reached.  The steps offered in the drop down list  can be changed by contacting support@dualsoftswitch.com with your requirements.

Tax rate

Optionally, enter a tax rate for this customer.  Payments made by the customer will have tax debited before being applied to the account as calling credit.  The name of the tax or the default rate can be changed by contacting support@dualsoftswitch.com with your requirements.

Credit limit

Optionally, enter a credit limit for the customer.  This will enable immediate calling on the account up to the limit set, without processing a payment from the customer.  If a credit limit is not set, then calling will not be enabled until you record a payment.

Send email?

Tick this box if you would like a "welcome email" to be sent to the customer.  This is a brief email informing the customer of their new account number and password.

The account will be created when you press the Continue button.  The next page will show the newly allocated account number and password at the top and will allow further account settings to be changed.
