A tariff table provides a correlation between the destinations defined in Dial Codes and the per minute rate used for rating a call.  It is the second stage of the rating process; the first stage being the establishment of the destination and/or city from the dialled number using the current Dial Codes table.

DUAL Softswitch can hold an unlimited number of tariffs, and one tariff must be assigned to each customer account.

As a secondary (and optional) function, tariffs can be used to change the default routing rules for specific destinations that apply only to accounts assigned to that tariff.

The tariffs currently defined are listed in the Tariffs page of the DUAL Softswitch Administration System.  You can reach this page by clicking Tariffs in the left sidebar in the Routing box.  The table at the top of the page lists all the tariffs, sorted by their name and shows the number of updates that are scheduled for future implementation.  Links are provided that take you to the individual tariff page and to a page on which the tariff can be removed.

Tariffs are uploaded to and downloaded from DUAL Softswitch using Microsoft Excel files prepared on a local computer.
